Daighila's Transitions, released in 2012, is a compelling compilation that encapsulates the band's evolution within the Malaysian hardcore punk and screamo scene. Formed in 2001 in Rembau, Malaysia, Daighila has been known for their intense blend of emo violence, hardcore punk, and screamo, drawing inspiration from mid-90s European acts like Fingerprint and Anomie.

Transitions brings together 14 tracks spanning various releases from 2009 to 2012, including selections from their Henceforth EP and splits with bands like Fanzui Xiangfa, Circuits, This Is Atlantis, Pazahora, and Grinding Halt. The album showcases Daighila's signature sound: a fusion of metal-driven guitar work, combustible drum beats, and piercing screaming vocals.

The compilation was remastered by Brad Boatright of Audiosiege Sonic Engineering, known for his work with bands like High On Fire and Sleep, ensuring a polished yet raw listening experience. The physical release features a gatefold packaging with artwork by Anna Vo, adding a visual depth to the auditory journey.

Transitions stands as a testament to Daighila's impact on the Southeast Asian hardcore scene, offering both longtime fans and newcomers a curated glimpse into their dynamic and emotive musical landscape.
